SAN SALVADOR, June 30, 2008.- The team of Guatemala defeated El Salvador 3-0 in the third match of the opening day of the Junior Men’s NORCECA Volleyball Championship.

The sets finisged 27-25, 25-18, 25-19 with Andy Leonardo leading the offense with 15 points. Nery Flores had 13 tallies and Aldo Arias added 11.

The best scorer for the Salvadorians was Rodrigo Chavez who collected 9 points.

“Our team has worked very hard and I thinks that today’s victory is a fruit out of it,” said Jorge Paz, the Guatemalan coach.
